We Already Know Who's Coming to Dinner

I have a new piece on Townhall today:

"We Already Know Who's Coming To Dinner"

"In fact, Obama talked less – far less – about lifting up black America than Hillary Clinton or John McCain. Or Bill Cosby, for that matter. Indeed Bill Clinton was both a candidate and president who actively tried to tackle race politics in America . Barack Obama is not."

Racism in America: What a tired and overplayed subject. We will never be able to have an ‘honest’ discussion about race in this country, or any other country because certain groups of people aren’t willing to accept their responsibility. And what really is disgusting is the generalization of the south being the only racists. That is ridiculous. Of course we only recently started wearing shoes and lurned to reeed.

The hypocrisy is smothering. How is it possible for an African American to find it more difficult to hail a cab in NY City? Is it easier for an Indian or Arab to hail a cab in NY City?

It would be wonderful to be able to have an honest discussion about race and personal freedoms, but unfortunately it is not going to happen any time soon.
