Great article S.E.!
I as well have been baffled by the gay community's affection for Obama. Apparently just repeating change over and over will suffice for most people to apply it to their own lives and buy into it.
When the Prop 8 musical came out I thought about it a lot and ended up venting in a blog entry about it. The blatant ignorance of reality on display in that musical was breathtaking.
